Sooo peaceful...

I was in Laos for the Sept. 19th coup in BKK. Lucky me. Its not like I would've gotten to take pictures of myself with tanks and soldiers on the streets of one of the biggest and most traveled cities in Southeast Asia. Dogh!

Instead I've got a bunch of crappy photos from one of the least traveled countries in Southeast Asia. How valuable are those? huh? No really there actually pretty cool. Cant show you though because they were all taken on Morgan's(my travel buddy) camera and he hasn't uploaded them yet. Oh yea, a couple of weeks ago my passport, my money, my cell phone, and wallet were stolen on a beautiful beach of Phuket. SUCKS! - but all is well now. I've had one of the most nightmarish things that can happen to a traveler happen and I'm still going. So... sweet...

Yea there are tanks on the streets of BKK - yea there is a change in government(from a democratically elected PM to a militarily appointed leader) - oh, and martial law - but hey, at least I can still go to the seven(7-11) and get myself a bag of chips, a beer, and a bar of soap to wash up with. That much hasn't changed. Theres not much that has changed in Thailand for that matter. I mean I know I've only been back for a day but the essentials(that which I've already outline above) are stable - Food(chips), drinks(beer), etc., etc., etc....

They say the military leader answers to the king - which is good cause everyone likes the king and he seems like he has got the country's interests in mind.

I am currently working my way down through thailand from Chiang Rai(close to Laos) through Chiang Mai, and then probably train-ing it to BKK and bouncing it down to Phuket and back to work on monday the 1st. Its gonna be a whirlwind...

Exciting times these...
