Pictures from Laos(pronounced Lao):

Thats right we're bad-asses. The money in his hands is Laotian currency(kip). Its worth about $1.70. But he looks good doesn't he?

These photos were all taken with Morgan Dibble's(the other guy in the photos) camera. Mine was stolen along with my passport in Phuket - its all sorted now so now worries(No, I didn't sneak into Laos without a passport).

Mo-Dibb's and me jus' chillin' on the first few steps of our 2 day trek through the mountains and hills around Luang Prabang, Laos.

The same bad-ass rice field. We would see many more but we didnt know that at this point. We took ample photos. Our guide giggled and laughed as he tought about the acres of rice feilds we would end up seeing.

The impressive, though strange geologically, mountain ranges.

The Mekong. In the end, we would spend about 24 hours steaming up the Mekong to get "the heck out of Laos!"

So Laos was fun. I would have to say that green was the color of choice in Laos. It was probably the greenest place I've ever been. The first day back in Thailand(about 15yrs ahead of Laos technologically) we spend in Chiang Rai. We later traveled through Chiang Mai where I stayed up all night hitting every random raving bar until the sun came up... Then we went to the top of the nearest mountain (Called Doi Suteep) as the sun was just breaking. I dont regret it.

That afternoon at about 4pm I got on a 13 hour sleeper train to Bangkok. An hour after stepping off the train in BKK I was on a 12 hour bus to Phuket in the south of Thailand. SANUK(FUN)!

And here I am in the south ready to start teaching at the english camp.

Will post again soon.
